We hear over and over live in the moment, enjoy the experiences of life, recognize the lessons, appreciate the beauty, make the most of what you have. How do we do this when we are always being shown the next best thing, constantly being confronted with the expectations of others or worse yet our own unrealistic expectations without looking at where they came from or if they are what we want. We begin to get addicted to the bigger, better, more at every turn. This drives dissatisfaction with all that we do have.
How often do we appreciate what we have, our talents, our opportunities, the people in our lives? Find those moments in your day to pause and look at how they do align with our values, or desires and how we can expand our appreciation and weave that appreciation and gratitude into our daily thoughts.
