Positive Culture / Environment

The online definition for “Culture” is the behaviors, beliefs and characteristics of a group, and for “Environment” it is the aggregate of surrounding things, conditions or influences. The social and cultural forces that shape the life of a person or population.

Do you actively participate in intentionally creating a positive culture – at home, at work, on your projects, in your community? Do you stop and take notice of what the current culture is? Have you thought about how you would define and shape a positive culture?

For me a positive culture begins with trust and safety. It values diversity of perspective, ideas and expertise. It is a culture that allows and encourages each of us to acknowledge, accept, respect and support each other and ourselves. A culture that encourages everyone to challenge the status quo thought process to see things differently. It is a culture that aligns and supports how we work best individually and as a team.

Start to take notice and actively participate in intentionally creating a positive culture!
